This is to advise for facilities that are currently having trouble connecting their InBody device to WiFi while implmenting WPA3 standards.
Please note that currently PMF (Protected Management Frames) are incompatible with the InBody devices. PMF is mandatory under WPA3 standards and thus will not work properly with our InBody devices at this time.
This will affect all professional InBody devices including the InBody Touch.
In order to get around this requirement, we have a few options:
- The InBody device can be configured or Wired Ethernet connection
- The WiFi network can be configured as WPA2-Personal with PMF disabled
- A WiFi repeater can be installed to either act as a wireless switch or to rebroadcast a WPA3 network as a WPA2 network in line with option 2 above
